The Maine People Powered Movement is hosting a series of open Candidate Forums ahead of the July 25 MDP Nominating Convention.
These forums give every candidate a chance to speak directly to the values and policies that tens of thousands of volunteers and 150,000 primary voters organized around, in their own words.
To ensure a fair, consistent, and substantive conversation for all candidates, each forum will be moderated by Jacques H. Newell Taylor. Forums are open to anyone who has signed the open letter, delegates, volunteers, and Mainers standing in solidarity with this movement. Local Maine Press will also be invited to attend.

About Our Moderator
Jacques H. Newell Taylor. Jacques is Vice President of the Greater Bangor Area Branch NAACP and founder of The Exercise Design Lab in Bar Harbor, where he developed Neuro-Logic Training (N-LT). With over 25 years in applied neuroscience and exercise science, he has taught health and performance professionals across North America and Europe and served on Healthy Acadia's Board of Directors. He brings the same rigor and attentiveness to moderating this forum: clear structure, active listening, and a commitment to giving every candidate a fair, thorough hearing.
